We are seeking a motivated person who is keen to learn and grow within the agriculture industry. This role will suit you if you’ve already been working with stock, have a capable team of dogs and are ready for your next step. This is a successful and progressive family farming business split across four properties totalling 4,400 hectares. This position is primarily based on the 2,260 ha property working alongside one of the owners while assisting where needed across the other properties. Our sheep and beef enterprise includes 21,000 breeding ewes, 7,300 mated hoggets and 900 breeding cows.
You will be part of an environment where quality genetics, high value feed, good stock management, record keeping and effective use of technology combine to achieve top production. You can expect to be exposed to all aspects of a well-established farming business where learning and growth is valued and encouraged. The current, capable team includes, four shepherds, two tractor drivers, farm hand/general and the two owners. Communication, responsibility and pride in stock is highly valued. The owners oversee the management across the properties and are very much hands on in terms of the day-to-day operations. The ideal applicant will have a common-sense, can-do attitude where to detail is vital. You must also be honest, reliable, and willing to work as a team.
