Arable Farm Assistant

We are a family owned farm looking for an experienced Arable assistant to assist with production of cereals and small seeds. 

Located 10 minutes west of Rakaia township, on 275ha fully irrigated land. We have modern equipment and infrastructure.

What we require-
Must be an NZ citizen/permanent resident or hold a current work visa.
We require someone who has minimum 2 years experience on an arable farm.
Duties include cultivation work, sowing, fertiliser spreading, servicing and maintenance of machinery and irrigation systems, spraying, harvest work and winter grazing for lambs.

We are looking for someone who is physically fit, has a strong work ethic, reliable and able to work independently. Some knowledge of cropping farming is helpful, but a keen passion for our industry and working the land is essential! 

A Class 5 licence is preferred but not essential. Full licence and own transport to work is required.

This is a full time position 40 hours per week with extra hours during harvest. This is a drive in position only- accomodation isn’t available.
