Job Description
Keinton Combe is a 780ha Sheep and Beef operation located 10 minutes from Waiau or 1hr 50 minutes North of Christchurch. The hill country property currently runs 3000 Romney Breeding ewes as well as 800 Hoggets and 150 Angus/Hereford cows. Aiming to finish 2000 of the works lambs annually. We also trade cattle and aim to winter 8500su.
We are looking for a motivated young person with a good attitude, who is wanting to progress in the agricultural industry.
Ideally you will:
- Be honest, reliable, have a positive attitude and a sense of humour.
- Be able to work alone and in a team.
- Have one or more years’ experience.
- Have at least one huntaway and one heading dog under good command.
- Have an interest in training your dogs.
- Be able to communicate and report to the farm manager.
- Be able to record farm information on Resolution and work to on-farm health and safety standards.
- Have a NZ Drivers license.
- Be a NZ resident.
