Shepherd - Mount Linton Station

Mount Linton is looking for an enthusiastic Shepherd to join our experienced stock team on one of New Zealand’s largest sheep and beef stations.

Ideally, you’ll have a couple of years’ shepherding experience and around four capable working dogs, but attitude, work ethic and a willingness to learn are just as important.

This is a stock-focused role, with our specialised ag team taking care of cultivation, fencing, weed control and vehicle maintenance so our shepherds can focus on working stock.

About Mount Linton

Located in the foothills of Southland’s Takitimu Mountains, Mount Linton spans 12,145 hectares and carries approximately 92,000 stock units. We run large-scale commercial sheep and beef operations alongside our Angus, Romney and Suftex studs.

Our 19-strong team includes 11 dedicated stock staff. We’re a down-to-earth crew who work hard, enjoy what we do and support each other.

Mount Linton has a strong history of developing people, with former shepherds progressing into Block Manager, Stock Manager and other senior farming roles.
