Skilled Operators required for Straw season in the UK

WRM Agri Ltd are now recruiting for skilled operators to join our harvest crew for 2026.

We are looking for: 

• 1x Telehandler Operator (JCB 542-100)
• 1x Tractor/Trailer bale carter (Fastracs & Hydraulic side flat trailers)

If you are interested in either of these positions and would like to apply, please make sure you meet the following criteria:

• You have a minimum TWO YEARS EXPERIENCE operating large modern agricultural machinery to a high standard.
• You are aged 18 or older
• You are clean, tidy, presentable and punctual
• You are able to maintain modern machinery to a top standard
• You have the ability to work long hours under pressure
• You can provide TWO REFERENCES

In return the successful candidates will receive the following:

• Between 34 and 40 NZD per hour (£15 - £17.50) depending on age and experience 
• Damage bonus equivalent to 2250 NZD  (£1000)
• Contribution towards visas and travel costs
• Free clean and tidy single occupancy on site accommodation with all facilities
• One hot home cooked meal per day
• Use of company vehicle while at work

Our harvest season runs from early July through to the end of September but there is the option to continue working into the maize harvesting season.

We are a relatively small team of 10 people, most of our staff are from NZ, with many returning for their second or third season. During harvest so it’s essential to have a good attitude and good social skills in order for everyone to get along, we do our best to make sure it’s a great place to work with clean, tidy and comfortable private accommodation (no room sharing!) with super-fast wifi. The evening meals are cooked by our resident Kiwi chef Angela, famous for her delicious chicken pies!

In the quiet times when the weather is bad there is plenty to see and do, our onsite pub "the wet bale" has cold draught beer on tap, an 80" screen with satellite TV for sports etc, and plenty of space to relax. We are located in the heart of the Essex countryside but only a short train ride into central London and a 25-minute drive from London Stansted Airport.
