Job Description
We are seeking an Experienced Shepherd General to run the day to day operations of our breeding block on the southern coast of Porangahau.
Arataura Station is 1200 hectare ( 1020 eff ) We work this in with our 340 hectare finishing block in Waipukurau. We are looking for a motivated , honest person that enjoys working as a team . They must have good stockmanship , a team of working dogs , be able to work unsupervised & be able to travel between the two working blocks.
Arataura Stn has invested in fencing , soil testing - fertiliser , coastal erosion planting & genetic's
The farm runs down to Whangaehu beach settlement where there is good fishing & diving. There is plenty of deer on the farm for those that enjoy hunting.
We have a great coastal community with Golf , rugby , netball , tennis & fishing clubs available.
Local Porangahau school & playcentre
A tidy 4 bedroom home will be supplied with the role.
The applicant must be a NZ citizen & have a current drivers licence.
