Job Description
We are seeking an Experienced Shepherd General to run the daily operations of our breeding block on the southern coast of Porangahau.
Arataura Station is 1200 hectare (1020 eff ) combined with our 340 hectare finishing block in Waipukurau. We are looking for a motivated , honest person that enjoys working as a team .
They must have good stockmanship , capable team of working dogs , and the ability to work independently between the two working blocks.
Arataura Stn is commited to ongoing investment in Genetics , fencing , soil testing , coastal erosion planting.
The farm extends down to Whangaehu beach settlement offering great fishing & diving.
There is plenty of deer on the farm for those that enjoy hunting.
We have a welcoming coastal community with Golf , rugby , netball , tennis & fishing clubs available, plus a local Porangahau school & playcentre .
A tidy 4 bedroom home is supplied with the role.
The applicant must be a NZ citizen & have a current drivers licence.
