Your Future Workplace

This is a 74-hectare privately owned family property that is being developed into a regenerative, values-driven operation, with a focused-on animal welfare and sanctuary care. It currently runs a diverse range of livestock, including sheep (notably Swiss Valais Blacknose), goats, alpacas, emus, guinea fowl, and peacocks, with an emphasis on breeding and conservation. 

The owners plan to expand into small-scale commercial beef cattle and free-range chicken production, while continuing to grow the sanctuary and regenerative aspects of the farm. They have the resources, infrastructure, and strong commitment to support this development.   

Your Role

Four Legs Good are seeking a highly capable, hands-on Property & Operations Manager (or couple) to take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of this unique rural property.

This is a highly practical, on-the-ground leadership role requiring someone who is comfortable being fully involved in the work while also driving performance and making decisions.

The role spans animal welfare and husbandry, regenerative farming systems, infrastructure and property management, and coordination of contractors and projects. You will be actively involved in daily operations across a growing animal sanctuary and emerging small-scale commercial farming enterprise.

Working closely with the owners, you will lead a small team, set priorities, implement systems, and ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. Strong initiative, accountability, and problem-solving ability are essential.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Proven experience managing and developing a rural property or farming operation.
  • Genuine commitment to regenerative agriculture, land stewardship, compliance and Health, Safety and Wellbeing in Employment.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to lead a small team and manage contractors.
  • Strong understanding of infrastructure development, hands on capability across property maintenance and general operations.
  • High standards of animal welfare and attention to detail.
  • Ability to take ownership, make decisions, and be accountable for results.
  • Sound organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise and deliver outcomes.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, self-driven approach.
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships.
